Our vision
Imagine a place where newcomers can find community, where people can find support, organizations can be visible, queer friendly businesses can show up responsibly, and events no longer disappear into isolated chats or buried posts.
More than a website, this is the beginning of shared digital infrastructure for belonging, visibility, cultural connection, discovery, and national momentum.

Why Queerlo exists
Queer life in Belgium already exists in WhatsApp chats, Facebook groups, Discord servers, Instagram pages, local organizations, event calendars, support services, city communities, and personal networks. The problem is that these places rarely connect to each other.
People struggle to discover local events, find organizations, meet new people, access support, discover LGBTQ+ friendly businesses, stay informed, and connect across language barriers. For newcomers, younger people, trans people, and anyone without the right invitation, the first step can feel unnecessarily hard.
Private groups are vital, but they are invisible. For newcomers, younger people, or anyone searching for their community, breaking through these hidden walls is unnecessarily hard.
Useful spaces, but your community shouldn't depend on an algorithm. Vital support posts and local events often disappear under the noise before anyone can see them.
Active for some communities, but invisible or overwhelming for many others.
Great for announcements, but broken when it comes to deep discovery, structural resource mapping, and true, ongoing connection.
Important resources that often live alone, disconnected from everyday community life.
Too many barriers between people and the community they are looking for. Queerlo exists to remove those barriers.
The future ecosystem
Queerlo is not being designed as a feature list. It is a shared infrastructure layer for belonging, visibility, safety, local discovery, participation, and the service directories Belgium still does not have in one trusted place.
Human, local profiles that help people show up as real members of a community, not anonymous accounts inside another generic feed.
Discover pride nights, workshops, support circles, and smaller local gatherings with less friction.
Find LGBTQ+ organizations, support centers, advocacy groups, and local initiatives across Belgium.
Make help easier to find through visible, structured pathways to trusted information and services.
Give queer friendly businesses and useful services a clear, responsible place inside the ecosystem.
The goal is a product that makes queer life easier to discover, easier to support, and much harder to lose inside scattered chats and buried posts.
AI translation layer
Belgium is beautifully multilingual, but our community often gets split along the same lines. Queerlo solves this by integrating an intelligent, real-time translation layer.
We are bridging the gap between Dutch, French, English and other languages networks so you can discover events, find support, and interact seamlessly without boundaries.
Community first roadmap
Queerlo should earn trust in phases: first by solving discovery and connection, then by expanding into deeper participation, a stronger community engine, and national visibility.
Community Profiles, Events, Organizations, Support, and the first trusted directories.
Business Profiles, Safe Spaces, Local Discovery, Community Groups, and better discovery loops.
Private Messaging, Volunteer Matching, richer community tools, and the path toward a XenForo-powered forum layer.
Mobile App, AI translation at broader scale, stronger cross-language networking, and a national LGBTQ+ digital footprint that feels undeniable.
Supporting community organizations
Queerlo is not only building a platform. We also want to help strengthen the digital foundations of LGBTQ+ organizations across Belgium.
That means supporting community groups, non-profits, initiatives, and local organizers with thoughtful guidance around privacy, security, accessibility, digital presence, and long-term resilience, always in a mission-first and community-driven way.
Helping organizations handle community data more carefully, build trust, and make privacy-conscious choices from the start.
Supporting safer digital practices, stronger account protection, and more resilient ways of working for teams under real community pressure.
Clear, grounded advice for groups that want to modernize thoughtfully, reduce friction, and make better long-term digital decisions.
Helping community initiatives present themselves clearly online so people can find support, information, events, and trusted contact points more easily.
Encouraging digital spaces that are easier to navigate, more inclusive across needs, and more welcoming across languages, identities, and lived realities.
Exploring ways to strengthen the wider ecosystem through shared digital knowledge, safer infrastructure, and collaboration that benefits more than one organization at a time.
Collaboration
This is not about selling services. It is about exploring how community organizations across Belgium can become more resilient, more discoverable, and better supported digitally.
For organizations
LGBTQ+ organizations, support centers, advocacy groups, event organizers, and queer friendly businesses need more than another social post. Queerlo is being built as a visibility and engagement layer for the entire ecosystem.
Partners will be able to reach people where they are actively looking for community, promote events, improve outreach, represent their work, and build deeper community relationships over time.
Show up where people are actively looking for support, events, and community.
Promote gatherings, workshops, campaigns, and pride-related activity more effectively.
Reach newer audiences, younger people, and communities across language boundaries.
Build stronger, ongoing relationships instead of relying on temporary chats and buried posts.
